Why is a Medical Centre an Important Place in our Community?

A medical centre is an very important place in my community because it is place where people go seek medical attention when they are sick.

First of all,  people go to medical centres  when they become sick. At the medical centres, the doctors or nurses decide the type of medical attention to be given if people need it. Without medical centres we could die.

Then, medical centres are also important because it has facilities that  can isolate patients with epidemic diseases, otherwise the people who have epidemic diseases would get worse and spread it to everyone else. Some epidemic diseases are measles, cholera, whooping cough, smallpox and rheumatic fever.

After that, medical centres are places people can go to for emergency treatments. . If people have big cuts, people need to go to the medical centre. However if people have little cuts people don’t need to. If people have a broken bones or a sprain, the medical centre will tell people to go to the hospital.

Then, the people at medical centres can also give people medical advice if people need it. They can tell people how to treat cancer, diabetes and  they give people a diet for obesity. When people have a back injury, they  can go to the physiotherapist.

Before people become doctors or nurses, they  need to train and at  medical centres.  Doctors and nurses at the medical centres  also give training to  medical students. They teach them how to do operations and write  prescriptions.

Finally, at a medical centre they give people prescriptions. If people have a disease, they need to get a prescription for some medicine and people need to go back every three months for regular check ups.

A medical centre is an important place in the community because it helps save peoples lives and provide professional advice and attention to the sick.
